8 Delicious Lemonade Recipes for Summer

I am a genuine lover of both lemonade and lemon tea, but occasionally I find myself getting bored with the standard, usual styles of these beverages. Therefore, I decided to share some exciting and refreshing recipes that you can try at home. If you are looking to enjoy lemonade with a delightful twist, I have some creative ideas that will surely rejuvenate your taste buds and elevate your beverage experience.

Blueberry Lemonade

Ingredients

Instructions

1. To make the blueberry simple syrup, combine sugar and 1 cup water in a medium saucepan over medium heat, stirring until the sugar has dissolved. Stir in blueberries and bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer until blueberries have broken down, about 3-4 minutes.

2. Strain blueberry mixture through a cheesecloth or fine sieve; let cool.

3. In a large pitcher, whisk together blueberry simple syrup, lemon juice and 5 cups water. Place in the refrigerator until chilled.

4. Serve over ice and blueberries, if desired.

Cilantro-cucumber boozy lemonade

This cilantro cucumber boozy lemonade is the perfect summer cocktail! Full of fresh flavor and lightly sweet. Cucumber vodka never tasted so good!

Yield: 2 drinks

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 0 minutes

Total Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:

2 lemons, juiced
1/4 cup cilantro leaves, roughly chopped
1 teaspoon Truvia sweetener
2 ounces cucumber vodka
Seltzer water
Sliced cucumber
Sliced lemon

Directions:

Add a few ice cubes to a cocktail shaker and add in lemon juice, cilantro, sweetener and vodka.

Shake until the shaker is cold and the mixture is combined. When you take off the lid you should get a slight smell of cilantro. {Not overpowering}

Take 2 short cocktail glasses and fill with ice. Strain equal amounts shaker ingredients into the glasses and top with cold seltzer water.

Garnish with cucumber and lemon slices.

 

Copycat Chick-Fil-A frosted lemonade

INGREDIENTS


1 cup Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice*
1/2 cup Sugar
2 1/2 cups Water
Vanilla Ice Cream

DIRECTIONS


Add lemon juice and sugar to pitcher.

if you are using bottled lemon juice, increase amount to 1 1/2 cups.

Stir until sugar is dissolved.

Add water and stir until well mixed.

Refrigerate at least 1 hour to chill.

Add 1 cup chilled lemonade and 2 cups (about 4 scoops) ice cream to blender.

Pour into cup and garnish with lemon slice.

 

Ginger Mint Lemonade

Fresh lemon juice is infused with ginger and mint, sweetened with honey and finished with cranberry juice.

Ingredients

  • 4 ½ cups (1 liter) water

  • 1 ½ cups (354 ml) fresh lemon juice

  • ½ cup (170 grams) honey, or 3/4 cup (150 grams) sugar (or to taste)

  • 2-inch (5cm) piece of fresh ginger, peeled and cut into slices

  • 1 fist full fresh mint leaves

  • ⅓ cup (78 ml) cranberry juice, chilled

  • 1 cup (236 ml) vodka, optional

  • Lemon slices

Instructions

  1. To a large saucepan add the water, lemon juice, honey, ginger slices and mint and stir. Bring to a simmer, remove from the heat and allow to sit for 5 minutes.

  2. Transfer to a pitcher and mix in the cranberry juice Refrigerate until cool.

3. To serve pour over ice.

4. Add 3 ounces of vodka (optional), Garnish with lemon slices.

 

Minty Watermelon Lemonade

Minty Watermelon Lemonade is my perfect summer refresher when the temperature rises.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups of cubed watermelon

  • 1 cup of fresh lemon juice

  • ¼ cup of sugar syrup

  • 10-15 mint leaves

  • Lemon slices

1. I start with about 4 cups of cubed watermelon. I blend it until smooth and strain it to remove any pulp.

2. Next, I mix the watermelon juice with 1 cup of fresh lemon juice and about ¼ cup of sugar syrup. You can adjust the sweetness depending on how ripe your watermelon is.

3. I muddle about 10-15 mint leaves in the bottom of a pitcher before adding the juices. This releases those amazing mint oils that make this drink special.

4. I always chill the mixture for at least an hour before serving. This gives the mint flavor time to infuse throughout the lemonade.

For serving, I fill glasses with ice, pour in the lemonade, and garnish with a fresh mint sprig and watermelon wedge. The presentation is just as delightful as the taste!

 

Lavender Lemon Refresher

This lavender lemonade is my favorite summer drink when I want something elegant but refreshing. The floral notes of lavender pair perfectly with tart lemons for a unique mocktail experience.

Ingredients:

  • lavender syrup

  • 1 cup of fresh lemon juice

  • lavender buds

  • 5 lavender flowers in ice cubes

  • half a glass of sparkling water

  • slice of lemon

Instructions to make:

  1. I combine equal parts sugar and water with a tablespoon of dried culinary lavender buds, bringing it to a boil and then letting it steep for about 30 minutes.

  2. After straining out the lavender buds, I mix the syrup with freshly squeezed lemon juice and cold water.

  3. The pale purple color makes this drink as beautiful as it is delicious.

  4. add a slice of lemon on the glass cup.

For an extra special presentation,

  1. I like to freeze some lavender flowers in ice cubes beforehand. These decorative ice cubes make the drink look amazing when serving to guests.

  2. you can sometimes add a splash of sparkling water just before serving for some gentle bubbles. This gives the drink a light effervescence that makes it feel extra special.

  3. When I have guests for, I like to rim the glasses with a mix of sugar and crushed dried lavender. This sweet rim adds both visual appeal and a burst of flavor with each sip.


Matcha Lemonade

I am a matcha lover who loves matcha drinks on a hot day.

this is a awesome summer drink for matcha lovers – a refreshing, sweet drink made with half matcha tea and half lemonade served with ice cubes.

Ingredients:

LEMON JUICE (FIRST LAYER)

  • 3 tablespoons (40 ml) fresh lemon juice ( 1 lemon)*

  • ½ cup (120 ml) water

  • 2 tablespoons (25 ml) maple syrup*

SECOND LAYER

  • Ice cubes, as many as needed to fill the glass

PURE MATCHA TEA (THIRD LAYER)

  • 1 teaspoon matcha powder

  • 3 tablespoons (45 ml) warm water (water temperature approximately 70°C)

  1. Squeeze the fresh lemons into a small bowl and add the lemon juice to a glass. This should be the glass you will be serving the matcha lemonade in. Add the water and maple syrup to the glass and stir to combine.

  2. Step 2. (layer 2)
    Add ice cubes to the glass and set aside.

  3. Step 3. (layer 3)
    Sift the matcha powder into a small bowl. This will help prevent lumps from forming in your lemonade. Add warm water to the bowl and whisk with a matcha whisk or a regular whisk. Mix the matcha powder thoroughly with the water using Z and M motions. This will also help prevent lumps from forming in your matcha lemonade.

  4. Step 4.
    Pour the green matcha tea over the lemonade and serve.

 

Blueberry Mint Lemonade

Blueberry Mint Lemonade is a The deep purple-blue color makes it a showstopper at any gathering.

Ingredients:

  • Fresh mint leaves

  • a handful of plump blueberries

  • lavender buds

  • blue berry in ice cubes

  • half a glass of sparkling water

  • slice of lemon

  • 1 spoon of honey or agave syrup or sugar

Instructions to make:

  1. 1st you can mix 1 cup of water and half cup of lemon juice togather to build the based of the lemonade.

  2. add 1 spoon of of honey or agave syrup or sugar to the lemonade.

  3. Then I add a handful of plump blueberries and muddle them to release their sweet juice.

  4. I like to crush a few leaves directly in the drink and save some for garnish. the Fresh mint leaves add a cool, refreshing twist that complements the tartness of lemon perfectly.

When serving, I pour the lemonade over ice and add a few whole blueberries and a sprig of mint on top. Sometimes I’ll add a slice of lemon on the rim for an extra touch.

For the best flavor, I recommend letting the drink chill for at least an hour. This gives time for the mint and blueberry flavors to fully infuse into the lemonade.
